Ark-La-Tex Financial Consultants, L.L.C. (ALTFC) was founded in June 2008
by Donnie Wooley. Since its inception, the goal of ALTFC has been simple:
Assist businesses to obtain properly structured

DONNIE WOOLEY
Founder and CEO
Before he founded ALTFC in 2008, Mr. Wooley held the position of Sr. Vice President of Agricultural and Commercial Lending with a community bank in northwest Louisiana. In this position, Mr. Wooley was responsible for developing and maintaining one of the largest USDA guaranteed loan portfolios in the state of Louisiana. Prior to his banking career, Mr. Wooley was employed with USDA as a senior loan specialist, holding positions in the front line delivery of USDA loan and economic development programs.
His twenty-nine years of experience as a USDA program specialist and private sector lender combine to provide our clients with answers to structuring even the most complicated deals. He maintains relationships with our strategic partners to guarantee the complete needs of both business and lending clients are met with the highest sense of urgency.
Mr. Wooley is a graduate of Northwestern State University in Louisiana with a degree in Agri-Business, and continues his education by keeping abreast of the latest in economic development initiatives, both private and governmental. Mr. Wooley recently graduated from the Louisiana State University Agricultural Leadership Program.
MARY BATSON
Senior Credit Officer
Mrs. Batson joined the team of ALTFC in 2010. She is responsible for assisting our business clients in the development of a complete and well documented business plan. For lender clients, Mrs. Batson is primarily responsible for providing credit analysis, credit review, loan closing, and routine loan monitoring services.
Her employment history includes commercial loan officer as well as branch manager with a number of banks in northwest Louisiana. She has also served as a securities investment broker and life insurance agent.
Mrs. Batson has a degree in mathematics from Louisiana Tech University with a minor in finance. She is also a graduate of the LSU Graduate School of Banking.
She is an experienced credit analyst with knowledge and skills acquired over 20 years in the finance industry. This has resulted in our clients being able to have full confidence in their business plans and ability to secure financing. Her analytical skills consistently result in our bank clients receiving favorable examination ratings.
SHEILA TREESE
Loan Closing Specialist
Sheila Treese joined the Ark-La-Tex Financial Consultants in 2017. She is responsible for working with our clients and stakeholders to prepare closing documents and facilitate the closing process. Sheila has over 30 years of experience in commercial lending; holding positions of Commercial Loan Assistant, Mortgage Loan Broker, and most recently Legal Assistant to inhouse counsel of a regional commercial bank. Sheila's years of experience in all aspects of commercial lending leaves her appreciating the details of a well-documented loan closing package. Sheila's goal is to leave our client files without exceptions.
JOHN BROUSSARD
Government Relations Officer
John joined he ALTFC team in 2018, after a 32-year career with USDA Rural Development.
In December 2011, John H. Broussard was named Director of Business Programs Division within the Rural Business-Cooperative Service of USDA Rural Development in Washington, D.C. As B&I Division Director, Broussard directed nationwide rural development activities of the Business Guaranteed Loan Programs of USDA Rural Development, overseeing a portfolio in excess of $8.5 Billion in loan guraqntees. John held this position for 6 years prior to his joining the ALTFC team.
Prior to his work for the USDA in Washington, he served as the Program Director for Rural Business-Cooperative Service for the State of Louisiana; Guaranteed Housing Specialist for the Rural Housing Service (RHS) within Southwest Louisiana; County Supervisor of Farmers Home Administration (FmHA) in Lafayette and Shreveport, Louisiana, supervising farm and home loan program delivery in Lafayette and Caddo parishes; and Assistant County Supervisor in Abbeville, Louisiana and New Roads, Louisiana.
John works daily to maintain our relationships with USDA personnel nationwide, and especially at the National Office level. John’s relationships allow us to cut thru the “red tape.”
A native of Lafayette, John attained a Bachelor of Science degree in Agricultural Business from Louisiana State University in 1981. He is Past President of the National Association of Credit Specialists (NACS) of USDA Rural Development and the Louisiana Association of County Supervisors. He served as Zone Representative for the National Association of County Supervisors, representing the Southeastern United States and Puerto Rico.
CHERYL WOOLEY
Office Manager / Researcher
Cheryl has served ALTFC since 2011. Prior to joining our staff, she was a lifelong resident of Oklahoma, where she graduated from East Central University of Oklahoma with a degree in English and Mass Communications. She has held positions as a reporter, photographer, editor and a copywriter for television stations and newspapers. She worked in management level positions as an employee of the State of Oklahoma for 22 years, primarily in the area of community advocacy. Her family has been in the cattle business for generations, and she currently owns and operates a cattle ranch in Oklahoma.
Cheryl's research skills insure that our clients are able to stay up to date on the conditions of their industries. Her communication skills turns visions into words, resulting in each client's vision for their business being effectively communicated to all interested parties.

Donnie Wooley, Founder / CEO
